Privacy Policy

QR Product Scanner ("we", "our", or "the app") respects your privacy. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information You Provide

Product photos. When you scan a product, the photo you take or select is sent to our server and forwarded to OpenAI's vision API for product identification. We do not store these photos on our servers after the analysis is returned.
Inventory data. Product names, prices, quantities, box assignments, and QR data you save are stored locally on your device. If you enable Google Sheets sync, this data is also written to a spreadsheet in your own Google Drive.
Account & sign-in. If you sign in (e.g. via Apple), we receive only the identifier and email scope you authorize. We do not collect a password.

2. Information We Collect Automatically

Subscription state. RevenueCat (our subscription provider) stores your purchase history and entitlements to enforce subscription access. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Server logs. Our API server logs the timestamp, IP address, and request path for each request, for abuse prevention and debugging. Logs are retained for up to 30 days.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with marketers.
We do not track you across other apps or websites.

4. Third-Party Services

OpenAI — processes product photos to identify items. Subject to OpenAI's privacy policy. Per OpenAI's API terms, your photos are not used to train their models.
Google Sheets API — if you enable sync, inventory data is written to a Sheet in your own Google account.
RevenueCat — handles in-app subscription state.
Apple App Store / Google Play — process subscription payments. We never see your payment details.

5. Your Rights

You may at any time:

Delete your local inventory by clearing the app's history.
Disconnect Google Sheets sync from the Settings screen.
Cancel your subscription via your device's subscription settings.
Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data.
Request deletion of any server-side records by emailing support@qrproductscanner.app.

6. Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective" date above will reflect the latest change. Material changes will be communicated in-app.
